Peace be unto you, as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Where Has He Gone?
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/1/12
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once
to die, but after this the judgment:” (KGV)
Where did he go one second ago?
He was just fine till his blood failed to flow.
He thought he would live for many more years.
Now he’s surrounded by loved ones with tears.
Only God knows beyond any doubt.
We can’t read their heart to figure it out.
While we’re alive there’s the promise of God,
Which He will perform, unless we’re a fraud.
One second from earth he’ll learn of his fate.
My hope for his is, that his choice was not late.
While here on earth we can be born again,
Trusting by faith that Christ paid for our sin.
This will bring peace when our seconds grow few.
Knowing for sure that our spirit’s made new.
We are redeemed by the blood of His cross,
Knowing for sure that we’ll not suffer loss.

The Modern Church
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/11/12
Psalm 19:8-10 “The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear
of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are
true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea,
than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” (KJV)
The music of the pages being turned in God’s Word
Once sounded from the pews but it’s now no longer there.
Folks don’t bring their Bible but a battery-powered book.
I guess I am old fashion but it’s just not a good look.
How can you underline a verse you find is great?
Or find it later on and do not have to wait.
Electric books are fine for Mark Twain and Shakespeare.
But in the pulpit or the pew, must they there appear?
Families came to church and together they would stand.
What a blessed sight to see the Bible in their hand.
Leather Bibles are passé for now they bring their Nooks.
The Bible is left home on the shelf with other books.
It use to be that families all came to church dressed up.
No one would ever think to bring along a coffee cup.
Church was where we worshiped and gave to God our best.
Now it’s entertainment, the modern church’s quest.

White Unto Harvest
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/12/12
John 4:35-6 “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the
fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth
wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth
and he that reapeth may rejoice together.” (KJV)
If there’s to be a harvest someone has to sow the seeds.
Someone has to reap the grain. Harvesters are what God needs.
God did not appoint to angels to reap the fields He’ll prepare.
God gave that to you and me and that’s proceeded with much prayer.
Tears are also often needed. Compassion helps to win the lost. *
Sometimes trials may be heavy. Are we willing to pay the cost?
Every thing God will repay. He owns the cattle on every hill.
Take every need to God in prayer; just be sure you’re in His will.
Isaiah said, “Lord here am I.” That’s the words God wants to hear.
He may not send you far away, perhaps to someone that is near.
The mission field may be next door. They have souls that need the Lord.
You can find no better way than give to them God’s Living Word.
Not every field that has been planted yields a harvest bumper crop.
When the grain is hard to glean, it’s not time for us to stop.
Compassion was the key in Jude, it shows a ready willing heart. **
Do not wait until tomorrow. God says now is when to start.
*Psalm 126:6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
**Jude 1:22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference:” (KJV)

We Are Not the Same
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/10/12
Psalm 1:1 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel
of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth
in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the
LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” (KJV)
Is there a reason - that we are not the same,
As the world around us, if we bear His name?
Or are we the same - as those we daily meet?
And are there places - we do not take a seat?
If we are a child - of the Father of Light,
The scorner’s not one - in which we take delight.
Their counsel is not - the kind we should seek.
That’s only sought - by the spiritually weak.
The Word of the Lord - is to be our delight,
Upon which feed - in both day and night.
By this we are blessed - and nourished from above,
When in the fellowship - of the Lord we love.
We’re to beware - with whom we walk and stand.
Remember we are pilgrims - and not of this land.
Our home is in heaven - so it is no surprise,
That we are not the same - in this world’s eyes.
Psalm1:3-6 “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are
like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall
not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly
shall perish.” (KJV)

The Scoffer
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/7/12
II Peter 3:3-4” Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last
days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is
the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things
continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (KJV)
Where is the scoffer - when death comes to call?
There’s no peace of heart - for fear of their fall.
They rejected God’s offer - of mercy and grace.
Now judgment looms, which they will now face.
They had no time - for salvation on earth.
They scoffed at the offer - of the new birth.
No time for Jesus, God’s gift from on high,
But now they have time - at long last to die.
What now awaits them? Can anyone tell?
God’s Word says that they - will be cast into hell.
It’s not that God hates then. He gave them His Son.
If they’d received Him, new life they’d begun.
God proved His love - through Jesus our Lord,
His precious blood - on Calvary out poured.
All who will come - He will not turn away.
Won’t you receive Him - while it is yet day?
II Peter 3:9-10 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the
Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass
away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (KJV)

Thank You Father
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/30/12
Psalm 68:19 “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth
us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” (KJV)
Thank you Father for all you’ve done, thank you Lord.
Thank you for the gift of your Son, oh thank you Lord.
He shed His blood upon Calvary,
Cleansed my soul and set me free.
Thank you Father for all you’ve done, thank you Lord.
Thank you for mercy that’s new each day, thank you Lord.
Thank you for guidance along the way, oh thank you Lord.
Thou art the Shepherd and I Thy sheep.
Safely forever my soul you will keep.
Thank you Father for all you’ve done, thank you Lord.
Thank you Father for loving me, thank you Lord.
Thank you for casting my sins in the sea, oh thank you Lord.
Forever they’re cast behind Thy back.
Thy forgiveness I’ll never lack.
Thank you Father for all you’ve done, thank you Lord.
Thank you for a home prepared, thank you Lord.
Eternal life with Thee will be shared, oh thank you Lord.
There we will sing of Thy mercy and grace.
With joy filled hearts we will look on Christ’s face.
Thank you Father for all you’ve done, thank you Lord.

There’s a God in Heaven
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/22/12
Colossians 3:1-2 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things
which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set
your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (KJV)
What are the trials that are facing you?
What are the problems you’re going through?
What are the temptations you’ve yielded to?
Remember there’s a God in Heaven.
What will become of a wayward child?
How will I keep my temper mild?
What do I do when my tongue is wild?
Remember there’s a God in Heaven.
Is there a fear within your heart?
Is there a loved one about to depart?
Have your finances gone off the chart?
Remember there’s a God in Heaven.
Is there a path that must be tried?
Maybe against you someone lied.
There is a Savior to be glorified.
Remember there’s a God in Heaven.
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known
unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (KJV)

Turning Gold Into Brass
By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/25/12
I Kings 14:25-26 “And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam,
that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem: And he took away
the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house;
he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.” (KJV)
Solomon made great shields of gold, no equal in that day
Rehoboam knew not God and the shields were stolen away.
So he replaced the gold ones with shields now made of brass.
He tried to hide the fact that his reign had become trash.
You can polish up the brass until it shines quite bright.
But it won’t take the place of gold though polished every night.
These were a mocking symbol of a nation turned from God.
All the brazen shields were just a cheap façade.
Our churches and our nation are just about the same.
They’ve turned away from God and barely know His name.
God would ask this question. “Of what is your heart made?”
Is it pure with solid gold or something that will fade?
When standing before God, will we honor Him with brass?
The fire will not improve it but consume it just like grass.
God gives us gold to start with. That’s Jesus in our heart.
If He’s treasured above all, the gold will not depart.
